I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Kentucky and beginning August 2012 will be with the School for Humanities and Social Sciences at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. My research focuses on conflict and democratization, with a particular emphasis on the role of civil-military relations in these processes.
